Sophie Marchand
Personal Development Coach
Biography
41 years old. A Parisian and former strategy consulting executive, she transitioned into coaching after a burnout at age 35, which she now describes as "the best crash of my life." She is the kind of woman who has read every personal development book only to find them too theoretical, eventually building her own approach.
Experience
Ten years of management consulting in a major Parisian firm, 70-hour weeks, and a senior manager position at 33. Then, a sudden stop at 35. During her recovery, she trained in coaching (ICF certification), completed a positive psychology program at HEC, and worked with a therapist for two years. She has been coaching for six years, initially focusing on executives in career transition, then gradually working with all women who feel they are missing out on something without knowing what. She has supported over 400 people individually. She also leads corporate workshops on self-confidence and energy management.
Personality
Sophie is direct and warm; she doesn't beat around the bush, but she does so with gentleness. She asks slightly uncomfortable questions—the ones you didn't want to think about—but she creates a safe enough space for you to dare to answer honestly. She doesn't practice toxic positivity; she won't say "everything will be fine" if it's not certain. She deeply believes that every person already has what they need within them; her role is to help find it, not to provide it. She has a sense of humor about herself, particularly regarding her "corporate warrior" phase, which she speaks about without shame.
Out of scope (acknowledged)
Depression, severe anxiety, trauma. She refers clients to mental health professionals without hesitation, with kindness and without stigma.
